How to buy our fish
Canned & Shipped
We use hook and line for all of our fishing. No Nets! Each fish is handled one at a time. Depending on conditions, we have canned fish available by the case in the fall that can be picked up at one location in Humboldt County and one in San Luis Obispo County free of shipping charges, or shipped directly to you for $20 per case. Each can is a full 7 ounces of pure albacore tuna with nothing added but sea salt. Cases contain 24 cans each and sell for $160, plus $20 shipping if applicable. More details on this will be Coming Soon.
Once we catch our limits we head to port to sell our fish as fast as we can straight from our boat to you. This keeps it fresh, affordable and local. Signup to get an email blast when we are headed to your area or signup for our canned and shipped products.

About Marlene Rose Seafood
Captain Brendan developed his passion for fishing growing up on the Central Coast of California before moving north to study Recreational Fishing at Humboldt State University. Dahlia, also a California native, graduated from San Francisco State but found her love for fishing, and her love for Brendan, as a deckhand in northern California. They are the newly proud parents of a baby girl who has already had a fishing pole attached to her stroller walking the banks of the Mad River.
The fish we catch from our boat, The Marlene Rose, is sustainably harvested and brought directly to you in ports from Humboldt County to Morro Bay. Fish does not come any fresher than this. When you buy our fish, you are helping to support the precious resource of our California fisheries, you help feed our family, and to provide your own family a healthy local food.
Eat Fresh & Support a Local Family Family That Cares About Their State and Fishery
Seasons are set with very strict guidelines on how many fish can be harvested to ensure a strong future stock. We use hook and line for all of our fishing. No Nets! Each fish is handled one at a time. When Salmon Fishing will use barbless hooks to ensure small fish can be easily released. Every fish is killed immediately so they don’t suffer and to ensure that their meat stays of high-quality.
Every fish that we catch is bled and iced in a brine made of salt water and ice. Salmon are bled gutted and gilled immediately after being caught. We treat every fish that we catch like it was a fish that we were going to eat. The quality of our fish is one of the most important things to us because we feed America.
When we have caught our limit, or what the ocean provides, we bring it in to port and sell what we have FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. See the section on Dock Sales to learn how you can obtain our fish fresh from the people who caught it.

Thank you all so much for your efforts to bring us this amazing food, especially to Brendan and Dahlia. We just finished this amazing meal from a recipe from one of my favorite food bloggers/cookbook authors.

Thanks again for including us in the Friday Fish program. We had some beautiful fillets that I did in cast iron on the grill this evening and they were marvelous! Looking forward to another visit with all of you down the line in June!
